The transferring of the resonance frequency to a frequency value
lower than that of the predominant harmonic is achieved by adding
an inductance in parallel to the capacitor.
The using of Aener reactors allows to reduce sensibly the harmonics in
the installation for both linear loads and in the sources (transformers
and generators). With the installation of capacitor banks equipped
with harmonic filters the harmonics circulate between the generating
loads and the capacitor bank eliminating, this way, the harmonics
from the rest of the installation. This is the reason behind the
importance of filtering the harmonics as close as possible to the
generating loads.

Why special capacitor duty contactor?
During the exact moment of switching, a capacitor effectively appears
as short circuit. In case of multi-stage capacitor, for automatic
capacitor banks, the in-rush current greater than 180 times the rated
capacitor current can occur.
Such large-current of such high magnitude is undesirable and likely
to weld main contacts of standard duty contactors and even damage
capacitors. That is why, we advise to use our special capacitor duty
contactors.

The 1500 Series is the ideal solution for manufacturing capacitors
banks for networks with high harmonic content because it incorporates anti-resonance blocking harmonic filter reactors (detuned system).
Its innovative Rack 19“ type design allows a convenient mounting,
simple installation and easy maintenance.
The 1500 Series fits any cabinet types available in the market due to its standard sizes. That makes it an ideal solution to include the capacitor bank inside the same cabinet as the main board.
